Barbara Hickman

(Creative Movement, Pre-ballet)

Barbara has had the pleasure of co-owning A&B Dance Dimensions since June 2005.  In addition to teaching Creative Movement and Preballet, Barbara is also an instructor for the annual Nutcracker Suite, annual Christmas parades and assists with the A&B Dance Company Competition Teams.  

Barbara has furthered her dance education by attending many classes at Broadway Dance Center in addition to attending many teacher workshops including Broadway Dance Center Teachers Workshop and Dance Teacher Magazine Summer Conference. 

Allison Hickman-McFerren

(Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Acro)

Allison has been dancing since  she was 3 years old.  Her training includes ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, hip hop and tap.  She began her training at the Waynesboro YMCA and later danced at Mar-Le-Nie Dance Studio in Chambersburg, PA.  At age 13 Allison began dancing at Beckie's Dance Studio (now A & B Dance Dimensions) in Waynesboro and has been dancing there ever since!          

While in college, Allison preformed with the Emotions Dance Ensemble of Elizabethtown College.  She was also a member of the Elizabethtown College Varsity cheerleading squad and served as co-captain for 2 years.   Allison has taken classes at various studios in Philadelphia and later taught ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop at Upper Merion Dance and Gymnastic Center in King of Prussia, PA for several years.  

Allison continued her dance education by attending many classes at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadways and Alvin Ailey Extension in Manhattan, attending many teacher workshops including Broadway Dance Center Teachers Workshop and Dance Teacher Magazine Summer Conference and completed the Fundamentals of Ballet Workshop with Finis Jhung in New York City and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Teacher Workshop in Carisle, PA.  In 2022, Allison obtained her certification in acrodance education through Acrobatic Arts.  

 In addition to her dance career, Allison is a board certified pediatrician who practices in the Waynesboro area.  She is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her pediatrics training at Penn State Children's Hospital / Hershey Medical Center. She is a pediatrician at Keystone Pediatrics in Waynesboro.

She continues her position at A & B Dance Dimensions in an effort to share her love of dance with the youth of the greater Waynesboro area!

Miss Samantha

(Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Modern )  

Samantha began her dance training at the age of 3 at Beckie’s Dance Studio (now A&B Dance Dimensions). She has trained in ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, hip-hop and tap. In addition to her local training, she has also taken classes at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in New York City, Drexel University in Philadelphia, Danceworks Studio in Cheltenham, England and completed the Fundamentals of Ballet Workshop with Finis Jhung in New York City.

She was an original member of the A&B Dance Dimensions Competition Team which she competed with for 4 years. She has performed as a corps member in the A&B Dance Company Nutcracker Suite as well as dancing soloist roles such as the Arabian, Snow Princess, Spanish, Merliton and Chinese. She has taught jazz, modern, ballet and pointe classes at A&B Dance as well as substitute teaching for multiple classes. She also choreographed for A&B Dance Dimensions Cinderella and Nutcracker ballet performances.  She has performed in countless local Christmas parades, the Mummers Parade in Hagerstown and the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Samantha was a dual major in Dance and Accounting at Messiagh College during the 2014-2015 school year where she preformed with the Acclamation Dance Ensemble and the Messiah Dance Department.  After a transfer to Elizabethtown College, she became a memever of the Elizabethtown College Dance Team where she served as Captain her senior year.   Additionally, she performed and taught with Emotion Dance Ensemble where she performed in Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Partnering and Salsa numbers.  Prior to her return to Waynesboro, Samantha taught at Morton's Dance Center in Landisville, PA.  

Samantha returned to Waynesboro in 2020 and currently teaches Jazz and Modern classes at A&B Dance Dimensions.  She also assists with the studio's newest class option, Acro.  In the fall she is involed in the A&B Dance Dimensions Nutcracker performance where she taeches and choreographes solos and corps de ballet numbers.  In the spring she coaches the A&B Dance Company Junior Competition Team.  In addition to her studio functions, Samantha is a Certified Public Accountant who works as a Senior Accountant at Menno Haven in Chambersburg, PA.  

Miss Brandy

( Ballet, Tap) 

Brandy has been an instructor at A&B Dance Dimensions since 2012.  Her training includes a minor in dance and theater from Dickinson College with training at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.   She has also taken classes in ballet, jazz, and tap at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Steps on Broadway, and the Broadway Dance Center.Her areas of speciality are ballet, tap and boys technique.   In addition to teaching dance, she also holds a Master's degree in psychology and teaches English Language Arts at Waynesboro Area Middle School.  She is also a proud dance mom to a prepointe level student.  

Miss Alyssa

(Tap, Jazz)

Alyssa has been dancing since the age of 4 with training in jazz, tap, ballet and modern.  She began her dance training at Mar-Le-Nie Dance in Chambersburg and later at Beckie's Dance Studio (now A&B Dance Dimensions).  She has been an instructor at Beckie's Dance Studio (now A&B Dance Dimensions) since 2009 and has enjoyed watching all of the dance students learn and grow each year!

Miss Kate

(Jazz, Tap)

Kate started dancing in 1997 at Dee Buchanan's School of Dance in Middletown, MD.  She was trained in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, Cecchetti, hip hop and musical theater.  She started competitive dance in Middler School and joined her High School dance team in 10th grade.  Kate was a memeber of the In-Motion Dance Team at Shippensburg University for 4 years where she also served as a choreographer and executive board member. 

kate has been teaching at A&B Dance Dimensions since 2013 and previously coached the A&B Dance Company Junior Competition Team.

Miss Aimee

(Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern)

Miss Marina   

 (Jazz , Modern, Ballet) 

Marina was a former student at A&B Dance Dimensions where she trained for 14 years in various forms of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, lyrical and hip hop.  While she was a student at A&B Dance, she was a student assistant for multiple ballet and jazz classes.  She has also taken classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop and tap at Broadway Dance Center in New York City.   She has been an instructor at A&B Dance Dimensions since 2009.

Miss Ashley

(Creative Movement, Preballet/Jazz) 

Ashley was a former student at Beckie's Dance Studio (now A&B Dance Dimensions) where she trained for 13 years in  ballet, pointe and modern dance.  After graduating, she continued her dance training in adult classes in ballet, jazz and hip hop.  She has been teaching at A&B Dance Dimensions since 2013.  

Miss Kara

(Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Acro)  

Kara has danced at Beckie’s Dance Studio/A & B Dance Dimensions since the age of three. Kara has trained in ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, hip hop, and tap.  As a student at A & B Dance Kara was a member of the A & B Dance Competition team and danced in several performances of The Nutcracker Suite and parades. In addition to her local training, Kara has also taken classes at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, and Alvin Ailey. 

Kara graduated from WASHS in 2020 and from Shippensburg University in 2024.  She is now a kindergarten teacher at Williamsport Elementary.  She loves teaching at A&B Dance and is thankful for all the relationships she has created with her fellow instructors and students. 

Miss Alli

(Modern, Jazz, Ballet, Acro)

Alli has been dancing since the age of 11.  She is trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop and modern.  While a student at A&B Dance, Alli danced in several performaces of The Nutcracker Suite, multiple Christmas and 4th of July parades as well as the Mummers Parade in Hagerstown, MD.  She was also a member of the A&B Dance Competition Team for six years and is now a coach for the Intermediate Competition Team.  She has taken classes at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway and Alvin Ailey in New York City.  

When Alli  is not teaching at the studio, she is in the process of pursuing a Master of Science in Counselor Education in Clinincal Mental Health Counseling at Shippensburg University.  She is currently in the second year of her three-year program.  She is planning on staying local after graduating to start her journey as a Therapist in Gettysburg, PA so she is able to continue to share her love of dance with her dancers. 

Alli graduated from Purdue University with Cum Laude honors and a Bachelors of Science in Pscyhology in August 2023.  She has been teaching with A&B Dance Dimensions for eight years.  Her greatest areas of strength are teaching Acro, Modern and Tap.  Alli strives to create a positive and uplifting environment for her dancers to grow and produce a passion for dance.  

Miss Abby

(Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Modern)

Abby began dancing at A&B Dance Dimensions when she was 8 years old.  She trained in ballet, pointe and modern.  As a student Abby performed many Nutcracker productions as well as Cinderella.  Abby has been teaching for 5 years and has been assisting for many years.  

Miss Tracy

(Adult Fitness and Dance)

Tracy has over 30 years of experience as a Certifited Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer, with certifications from NETA, NASM and the Arthritis Foundation, as well as a few others. During her time as an instructor, she has taught step aerobics, Pilates, core, kickboxing, cycle, yoga, dance fitness, weight lifting and aquatics classes.  She has been a Health and Physical education teacher and C.P.R. instructor for over 30 years.  Tracy holds a B.S. and an M.Ed. in Health Education from Penn State, and she is currrently completing her dissertation in Kinesiology at Concordia St. Paul.  She enjoys adapting her class for individuals with a variety of fitness levels.  Tracy has taught students ranging in age from toddler to age 95!  Please come and give adult fitness a try and enjoy all the benefits the class has to offer!  

Miss Kelly

(Musical Theatre)

Kelly began her dancing career at Beckie's Dance sTudio at age 3, and dance has never left her heart or her life in the years that followed.  After 15 years at Beckie's, Kelly went on to study and graduate with honors from the Pittsburg Conservatory of Performing Arts.  Kelly's focus was on Musical Theatre performance and Directing.  While at the Conservatory, Kelly studied under Broadway dance masters Kenneth Johnson, Ron Tassone and Tony Award Winner Rob Ashford.  Kelly has directed and choreographed for amateure and professional companies all over the tri-state area, and is excited to be returning to her roots at A&B Dance Dimensions to help train a new generation of potential Broadway stars.  

Miss Miriah

(Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro, Hip Hop, Modern)

  Miriah has over 15 years of daincing experience under the direction of well known dancer/choreographer Thomas F. Waters at Artistic Dance Centre.  She has training in various forms of dance including: ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, modern and acrobatics.  She was also a major asset to their traveling competition team, The Dance Contraption, where she particpated in many regional and national dance competitions.  Miriah played an active role in Dance Masters of America Chapter 17 where she participated in master classes, pageants, workshops and competitions. In 2008, Miriah had the opportunity to perform at the Orange Bowl Halftime Show under well known choreographer, Shane Sparks.  She has also attended master classes leady by well known chroeographers at Monsters Dance Convention including Jamal Simms, Lisette Bustamante and Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo.  

Her teaching career began at the age of 15, where she student-taught and later went on to teaching her own calsses at her home studio, ADC.  Miriah had the opportunity to travel to Australia for a year where she spent time coaching recreational gymnastics classes, assistant coaching their competitive junior gymnastics team and leading her own Zumba Fitness classes at a local health club.  

Miriah holds her Bachelors of Scienc degree in Elementary and Special Education through Towson University.  While attending college, in addition to her teaching internships, she also had the privilege to work at Adverture Theatre MTC as a dance instructor for ballet and musical theatre.  Miriah spent 6 years employed with Frederick County Public Schools in Maryland as a Special Education teacher where she taught various subjects and grade levels.  She currently is a stay at home mama to her 2 little girls who are enrolled at A&B Dance Dimensions and is excited to share her passion for dance with them as well as the A&B Dance community.  

Miss Maria

(Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap)

Maria has been dancing for 15 years and teaching for 5 years.  She has taught tap, hip hop and ballet.  This year she will continue to instruct the Prepointe and Pointe 1/2 classes and is really looking forward to it!   Although it is Maria's senior year, she hopes to help these dancers achieve their goals that they have always wanted to obtain!

Kaitlyn has been dancing since the age of 3 and has been teaching since 2021.  She has experience in every style of dance, though her favorite is jazz.  She is also part of the A&B Dance Senior competition team.  Kaitlyn loves sharing her love of dance with her students and witnessing their growth throughout the year.  

Miss Teagan

(Ballet, Hip Hop)  

Teagan has been dancing since the age of 3.  She has trained in ballet, pointe, hip hop, jazz, modern and tap. She has competed on the A&B Dance Company competition team for 6 years.  She has also participated in the ballet production of Cinderella as well as numerous productions of The Nutcracker Suite.

Kylie has been dancing at A&B Dance Dimensions since the age of 6.  She has trained in ballet, pointe, hip hop, jazz, modern, acro and tap.  She has competed on the A&B Dance Company competition team and participated in productions of The Nutcracker Suite and Cinderella.  She dances with her 3 sisters: Kenna , Kaelii and Khloe.  She enjoys all styles of dance but her favorites are hip hop and pointe!

Miss Carolyn

(Ballet)  

Carolyn has been taking classes at A&B Dance Dimensions for 10 years.  She has trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern and hip hop.  She has participated in multiple productions of The Nutcracker Suite, has been a soloist and has enjoyed every show.  She was a member of the A&B Dance Company Junior competition team for 2 years.  She has been assisting with ballet since 2022.  Carolyn is excited to help teach young dancers.

Kylee has been dancing at A&B Dance Dimensions since she was four years old.  She has trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop and acro.  She has competed with A&B Dance Company for the past 3 years.  She cherishes the friends made through dance over the years.  "I hope to share my love of dance with the younger dancers."

Miss Corrina

(Ballet)  

Corrina has been dancing with A&B Dance since she was just four years old.  She has trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, hip hop and acro.  She has also danced on the A&B Dance Competition Team.  She loves every style of dance, her favorite being jazz.  She enjoys the friendly environment of the studio and the memories she has made over the years.  Corrina has a passion for dance and hopes to share that with the younger dancers.
